A Slower Taste of Matcha
Have you really experienced matcha, or have you mostly followed the hype around it?
Beyond the vivid green, matcha has more to offer than a beautiful drink. Its scent changes when water touches the powder. Its texture shifts with each whisk. Its character feels different as sparkling matcha, usucha, or matcha latte.
A Slower Taste of Matcha is an intimate hands-on workshop, created for those who care about slow living and want to bring matcha into their life as a simple, grounding daily ritual.
In this 60-minute session at RU, guests will make their own usucha and matcha latte while learning how details like cultivar, region, water temperature, whisking, texture, and dairy or oat milk shape the final cup.
You will also taste our two matcha characters. Hikari is bright and refreshing, with a gentle sweetness that feels light, open, and uplifting. Nagomi is warmer and more grounding, with a roasted nuttiness that feels calm and comforting.
This is a slower hour for noticing, making, tasting, and returning to yourself through matcha.
