Yamamasa Koyamaen 山政小山園 - Ogurayama ⼩倉⼭

Sale price$40.00
Size:

Indulge in the dreamy richness of Ogurayama, a matcha that pampers the senses with its sweet, creamy body and delicate, mellow character. Exceptionally smooth and inviting, it offers a joyful and approachable experience—perfect for those new to matcha as well as seasoned tea lovers seeking a more nuanced flavor.

Named after Mount Ogura in Kyoto’s Saga district, Ogurayama carries cultural depth as well as flavor. Overlooking the Hozu River and facing Arashiyama, Mount Ogura is said to be where the famed poet Fujiwara no Teika compiled the classic Hyakunin Isshu anthology. Because of this, the collection is also known as the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, linking each cup of this tea to a legacy of poetry, nature, and quiet reflection.
