Supervised by Chinese master craftsman Jinxin Chen, a recognized intangible cultural heritage bearer from Yuhang District, this chasen is crafted to meet exacting traditional standards.
The Shin (真) style refers to the shape of the whisk. Compared to a 100-prong chasen, it features fewer tines, a more slender handle, and elegantly curved prongs. This aesthetic structure is traditionally favored by the two largest tea ceremony schools, Urasenke and Omotesenke.
Care
Rinse gently with warm water after use. Shake off excess water and allow to air dry naturally with the prongs facing downward. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct heat, or enclosed damp environments.
